THE OLYMPIA TEA ROOM,

Bay Street, Watch Hill, 348-8211.

The Olympia Tea Room has the ambience of a 1920s lunch spot with its long marble counter and high-backed wooden booths. The kitchen still relies on some holdover favorites from that era, but offerings such as the Cajun tuna and angel-hair pesto prove they have also moved successfully into the modern era. The fettucine Olympia ($16.95) combines the two eras nicely, featuring a lobster tail, two shrimp and several scallops served in a creamy Alfredo sauce over fresh fettucine.
